Undergraduate

Bachelor of the Arts in English Literature
Minor in Communications/ Journalism

I earned my undergrad in the last century and I don't have many digital breadcrumbs, so you'll have to take my word for it that I:

  • Transitioned my only social media account from Myspace to Facebook Sophomore year.

  • Reported for the Seattle University Spectator back when it was still a newspaper.

  • Worked my way through college as a stock broker's assistant in Seattle. I researched historical stock data in Morningstar tomes and microfiche.

  • I attended Desmond Tutu's speech "Global Reconciliation in the New Millennium" at Seattle University.

  • Created my own academic track so I could travel Europe and study in Cannes, France for 5 months, which is where I was on 9/11.

After graduation:

Master of Communication in Digital Media

  • Began coursework in September of 2019, completed classes online throughout the pandemic and graduated in June of 2022.

  • Learned film editing and UX/UI.

  • Learned how to write, record and produce a podcast  about building a home-office/ greenhouse during the pandemic.

  • Submitted my screenplay, Tangleheart for review at the Seattle Film Summit.

  • Fulfilled a 10-week, Digital Marketing engagement, presenting a new-to-market sea kelp snack created on Bainbridge Island.

  • Volunteered as a copyeditor for the original publication of the Comm Lead: International Student Guide, a resource designed to assist international students relocating to Seattle to study at the University of Washington.

  • Worked with a diverse, virtual team during COVID-19 quarantine to develop an award winning, Mask Selection Digital Tool and social media campaign for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.

  • Selected as an alumni fellow with the role of student mentor, during the 2022- 2023 academic year.
