2022-2023 Academic year Alumni Fellows are Communication Leadership graduates who offer support and mentorship to current students. This program connects alumni to our community, helps current students throughout their journey, and generates professional development opportunities. Our alumni fellows support faculty, host professional development events, and serve as resources and mentors for current students. |

Redmond Garden Club
2022- present Every garden club member pitches in to support our annual goals and programs. I negotiated a new meeting location for the club, developed community outreach opportunities through the annual plant sale, moved their website to a new platform to align with their goals and budgeting needs and updated their website. |

Rwanda Girls Initiative, Gashora Girls Academy ST, writing mentor
2019- 2020 My volunteer commitment for Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology in Rwanda, involves working with students their senior year of high school; to find their unique voice as they complete writing-related coursework and college essays for application to international universities. Bellevue United FC & Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association, soccer coach
1998-2017 Since 1998, I've coached five soccer teams for 1-5 consecutive seasons. My goal (pun always intended) is to teach a love for and an understanding of the game, while reinforcing sportsmanship and respect. The values learned on the field always translate off the field. |

King County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
2005-2007 While working as a legal clerk and considering Law School, I advocated for the rights of abused and neglected children. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), I researched the unsafe living conditions of my CASA kids and worked alongside the Department of Social and Human Services (DSHS) to make recommendations. I then attended hearings to report my findings to the King County court. All three of my cases were successfully adopted into safe, loving homes. |
