Undergraduate

Bachelor of the Arts in English Literature
Minor in Communications/ Journalism
I earned my undergrad in the last century, and I don't have many digital breadcrumbs, so you'll have to take my word for it that I:
  • Transitioned from Myspace to Facebook Sophomore year.
  • Reported for the Seattle University Spectator back when it was still a newspaper.
  • Worked my way through college as a stock broker's assistant in Seattle. I researched historical stock data in Morningstar tomes and microfiche.
  • I attended Desmond Tutu's speech "Global Reconciliation in the New Millennium" at Seattle University.
  • Created my own academic track so I could travel Europe and study in Cannes, France for 5 months, which is where I was on 9/11.

After graduation:
  • I considered law school, so I worked in the family law department at Preston Gates & Ellis.
  • I also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for King County and successfully placed all my CASA kids in safe, loving homes.
