Hatching Chicks from an Incubator
Each spring, lucky kindergarteners at St. Thomas School hatch baby chicks in their very own classroom.
After spring break, the incubator is warmed up, the eggs are gently put in place and the students follow along with the growth chart for 21 days. Then, finally one day, the first egg pips! This video explains the exciting process of hatching chicks from an incubator, experiencing life emerge right in front of our eyes and of course, cuddling baby chicks. As a companion to the video, educators are welcome to download the editable presentation for use in your own classroom. |
