Not that I'm fascinating or all that original, but sometimes it's nice to know who the posts are coming from.
I'm a mom of two girls, a wife and I'm happiest when I'm being productive; building something, planting, planning, fixing, making, coaching, teaching... all the things!
A couple years ago, I had more time, but no money, to garden and build. These days, I'm working (happily), driving children to lessons and sneaking out to my garden as much as possible.
On the best weekend mornings, I roll out of bed, make coffee and wander across the patio to my herb garden.
I pinch off some mint, sage, oregano, lemon thyme and rosemary to chill in water with lemon, lime or orange wedges for lunch.
Hours later, I can be found in the garden, still in my pajamas, elbows deep, ripping up weeds. Around noon, freshly laid eggs are liberated from the chicken coop and voila, lunch. Late summer omelets include cukes, tomatoes, and a variety of vegetables and herbs.
